by Meow

There are still 2 entries to put en end to my UK vacation diary series!! (Just 2 to go!!)
Today, let's start our Bangkok series first...
I went to Bangkok at 22 May 2015, for 4 days.
The weather was fine but SUPER HOT with sunlight.
I guest that was not a bad thing.
Our plan for the 1st day was to tour along the Chao Phraya River.
Transport is easy; just take BTS to the Saphan Taksin Station and take the Chao Phraya Express Boat.

Nice view on the boat; we can even see the Wat Arun (lower picture)!!
Unfortunately, the Wat Arun was under maintenance =[
All we can see was like a pixel version Wat Arun =[

After we get off the boat, we walked 10 mins to the Grand Palace.
The entrance fee is 500 baht and the palace is enormous!!
Pictures are shown below.

We headed to the Wat Pho after visiting the Grand Palace.
The Wat Pho is the temple of the Reclining Buddha.

In the evening, we arrived the Asiatique market.
The market has tons of fashion / food / decor stores; stuffs were fashionable and not expensive.
We bought a ton!!

We took our dinner at a random restaurant called Baan Khanitha.
We did no research beforehand but the food turned out to be good.
Price was reasonable (a little expensive in Thailand, but not as expensive in HK).

Tung Yam Khung is our choice!!

I hope you like my sharing and find it useful for planning your Bangkok trip.
This route should last you one whole day!!

FYI, all the above pictures were taken with my Canon EOS 6D and kit lens 24-105mm F4.

Gros Bisous,
